a glimpse into the guys heads,( we are all very different people who come together to play some of the best rock n roll ever recorded

Steve: I've been playing guitar since I was about six years old.  My older brother was taking guitar lessons and I would learn to play the basic chords by reading the diagrams in his song books. It was very  frustrating at times as at that age, my hands lacked the stregnth to make clean sounding bar chords. I kept up with it over the years but never started playing "serious" electric guitar until the end of high school, about the 1979-1980 era.  I was floored by the lead guitar solo featured on  The Knack's " My Sharona". I worked on developing  technique to play more serious music using the album "Get The Knack" as my so called lesson  plan. Some friends of mine, at the time, were into this newer band, newer to me anyway, who called themselves AC/DC. From the first song I'd heard from them, I was hypnotized by the Young Brothers' guitar sound and perfect sync. This shit was cool, man! Truly, just fun rock n roll !  I was  hooked. I listened and studied their music and technique, all the while, and unknowingly, becoming a closet angus".                                                                                                                                                                                  I had known Don for years and on several occaisions, jammed with him on an informal basis. Then in 2004,  I was approached by him to possibly play lead guitar in a band he and  some of his friends were  putting together. Well, going on four years later,  here we are! The funny thing is, prior to this, I thought all of those years devoted to studying only AC/DC was a waste of my time and alleged  musical talent.   The Lord works in mysterious ways, children !

Don: I've been banging my head for a long time, i remeber jamming to 8 tracks in my piece of shit volkswagon beetle back in high school. after i got out of the marines i bought an ibanez guitar and started to mess with learning to play. I knew steve and as he said we started goofing around and jamming together, mostly playing ac/dc tunes because we both loved them. a vivid memory i have from the 80's is steve and i at a friends farm with our amps on the second floor balcony, running around in the field testing the range on our wireless rigs with ac/dc tunes ripping through the air.I bet we got 200 yards away from the amps. i was learning from steve then and i still am, he's a very understated guy, but absolutely amazing on guitar. i'm a lucky guy, i started this band with a couple of buddies who had been playing for years. Mark, steve, our buddy louie. we soon found uncle mike to take the singing duties from steve, and we're now on our 4th drummer with lloyd. This lineup is the most powerfull yet, with mike making bon proud, steve tearing up the frets, and mark, lloyd and I providing that sledgehammer rhythm. I'll tell you, there are times when steves sg and my gretsch sound like one huge guitar, add mikes vocals, marks bass and lloyds pounding drums, and it makes all the crap any band goes through totally worth while.                     if we're too loud - your too old!

mark: I'm no stranger to the Chicago Music scene with over 30 years of playing experience. I have had the distinct pleasure of playing with such bands as The manifest Destiny, Seeds, busker Soundcheck, the leftovers as well as the best band ever assembled - problem child ( a special shout out & thank you to Jonathon Brandmier, guy bauer and wlup radio for their continued support AND PROMOTION OF US) GREAT MUSICIANS AREN'T BORN, THEY ARE MADE THRU YEARS OF DEDICATION AND PRACTICE AND PROBLEM CHILD IS NO EXCEPTION. aS AN OAK LAWN RESIDENT I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY FAMILY FOR THIER SUPPORT AND PATIENCE IN MAKING MY DREAM OF BEING PART OF THE MIDWEST'S MOST AUTHENTIC BON SCOTT TRIBUTE A REALITY. ROCK ON!!!

mike:     My story pretty much starts in the mid 70's when I was in grammar school. I was in the church choir and found out that I really enjoyed singing and was good at the tenor range they needed at the time. Then, in high school, I was still singing when I discovered rock n roll! The first bands I really admired were Kiss, Elton John, and most important of all  QUEEN. Each of those bands gave me the foundation for my love of music and performing. Kiss with their spectacular shows (which launched my lighting company MLH Electrolite), Elton John, for his music, which I feel is the pinnacle in pop music, and then there is Queen, the songs, the music and that voice! ! ! Freddie is my idol.  Always was and always will be. For the last twenty-eight years I’ve been singing and performing in bands, and I have crafted those traits into each and every song, including the songs of AC/DC, which we in Problem Child perform in our amazing tribute to the late great Bon Scott. I have many stories of the bands I’ve worked with, and seen live, and let me assure you that Problem Child has that "special something'' that all bands strive for. Do yourself a favor, and catch one of our concert performances and SEE FOR YOURSELF! ! !  WE NEVER DISAPPOINT! !

lloyd: I've been drumming since the age of 7. I am a former member of marauder and tempest fugit. i welcome the opportunity to be the newest member of problem child. many say that early ac/dc is simple, but the trick is all in the timing. i have been influenced by such exemplary drummers as buddie rich, neil peart and nick menza - the masters of percussion and timing. i look forward to being a problem child for a long time to come and "the complexity of the simplicity" of the music we love to play. Thanks to my kids and a special rock n roll shout out to my parents who put up with their collective (and gradual) hearing loss during my homebound years. semper fi
